Student Support Assistant
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only + 1 week
Salary: Actual £23,000-£25,000 per annum
Start Date: January 2026
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join a thriving mixed secondary school (11-16) in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive school environment. For the right candidate, this role will become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for students, ensuring their welfare and engagement.
Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive behaviour and learning.
Communicate confidently with students, parents, and all stakeholders within the school community.
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and young people.What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an education setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
