What the school offers its staff
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident teacher who has high expectations for themselves and for children and who is passionate about learning. Already recognized as a good school with outstanding leadership we are always reaching higher – we’re proud to be a place where all members of the school community strive to be the best they can be. This is an opportunity to join an energetic, talented and highly supportive team that can offer you:
• A strong commitment to your professional development, whatever your career stage.
• A supportive team, with the opportunity to plan and work with key-stage colleagues and with class support from our large team of skilled teaching assistants.
• A beautiful working environment, in new buildings.
• Friendly, happy children, who love learning – and the chance to make a real difference to their lives.
Our teachers in Year 1 and 2 work closely with colleagues in Reception and key stage 2, and you’ll be supported by our Reading Leader to be a first-rate teacher of reading and phonics - and to create a classroom environment that puts the love of books and reading at the heart of everything you do.
Commitment to safeguarding
Ensuring that children are safe and well cared for is our highest priority. We work with parents and other agencies, including our Local Authority, to make sure that children are kept safe, both in school and beyond. Staff members with designated lead responsibility undertake regular specialist training in safeguarding and child protection. All members of staff and regular volunteers receive training in child protection, and we undertake comprehensive background checks on all adults working in the school, including an enhanced DBS check and full employment references.
