The opportunity
Due to growth we are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager in our Cambridge or Luton Office. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting clients in the market to help support them as they navigate an ever increasingly complex tax environment.
Most importantly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and ensuring in your role as their day to day contact that they have access to the breadth of services available to them at EY.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Grow and maintain relationships with clients both existing and new clients
2. High level management of the successful delivery of technically complex compliance and reporting engagements as well as delivery of any related advisory projects
3. Manage the delivery of high quality tax audits to a range of businesses
4. Providing exceptional client service
5. Working in conjunction with other tax specialist teams
6. Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
7. Lead team initiatives, covering all aspects of leading a successful team
Skills and attributes for success:
8. Significant experience in Corporate Tax from practice or from an in-house tax background with a mix of compliance and advisory experience
9. Strong client relationship management skills
10. Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work
11. Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
12. Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
13. Enthusiastic team player with the ability to create and sustain effective teams
14. Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff
15. Ensure delivery of quality work
To qualify for the role, you must have
16. Experienced corporate tax practitioner (Minimum of 5 years’ experience)
17. ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA /Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course / Law qualification/ Tax specialist qualification / or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification
