Public Protection Service - Safeguarding Communities, Empowering Lives
We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Environmental Health Officer to join our creative Public Protection team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of disciplines including food hygiene, food standards, health and safety, trading standards, animal health, environmental protection, licensing, ASB/Community Safety, and pest control.
You will be part of a team that values innovation and sustainability in regulatory services, contributing to both proactive and reactive programmes. Your responsibilities will include inspections, compliance work, and collaborative projects to help protect public health and support high standards and continuous improvement.
Requirements include having completed the Environmental Health Practitioner Portfolio, being a CIEH registered Environmental Health Practitioner, and having experience in food safety, health and safety, and infectious disease control. Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage workload independently, and a valid UK driving licence are essential. Knowledge of high-risk food processes is a bonus.
