We are looking for an experienced and talented Systems & Distribution Manager to join our Edinburgh Hotel Sales Team on a fixed term basis and you will be responsible for the integration, effective management, optimisation, and performance of all hotel distribution channels and reservations systems.

Key Responsibilities
7. Distribution Channel Management
8. Manage all online distribution channels, including:
9. OTAs (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia Group)
10. GDS platforms
11. Brand website and direct booking channels
12. Ensure content, rates, and availability are accurate and consistent across all platforms
13. Optimise channel mix to maximise profitability and reduce cost of sale
14. Monitor and manage channel performance, including visibility, ranking, and conversion
15. Systems Management
16. Oversee and maintain key systems, including:
17. Property Management System (PMS) (OPERA Cloud + MEWS)
18. Channel Manager (SiteMinder)
19. Booking engine (SiteMinder)
20. OTA extranets
21. GDS (Synxis via SM)
22. Ensure seamless integration between systems and troubleshoot connectivity issues
23. Lead system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes
24. Maintain data integrity across all systems
25. Rate & Inventory Distribution
26. Ensure correct distribution of:
27. Rate Plans and pricing
28. Availability
29. Restrictions
30. Support the Revenue Management team in executing pricing strategies across all channels efficiently and at fast pace with high accuracy
31. Conduct regular audits to prevent rate parity issues and distribution errors
32. Website & Direct Channel Optimisation
33. Ensure the hotel website and booking engine are:
34. Fully functional and user-friendly
35. Optimised for conversion
36. Support initiatives to increase direct bookings, including:
37. Promotions and packages
38. Rate visibility
39. Content updates
40. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
41. Produce regular reports on:
42. Channel performance
43. Distribution costs
44. Conversion metrics
45. Track KPIs such as:
46. Revenue by channel
47. Average Daily Rate (ADR)
48. Conversion rates
49. Highlight risks and opportunities to the commercial team
50. Cross-Department Collaboration
51. Work closely with:
52. Revenue Management
53. Reservations (RES)
54. Sales & Marketing
55. Front Office
56. GMs
57. Ensure alignment between systems, distribution, and operational processes
58. Provide guidance and support to teams on system usage and best practices
Key Skills & Experience
59. Experience in hotel distribution, revenue management, or reservations
60. Strong knowledge of:
61. PMS (OPERA Cloud + MEWS), channel managers (SiteMinder), booking engine (SiteMinder), GDS and all OTA extranets
62. Understanding of OTA and online distribution landscape
63. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
64. Ability to troubleshoot technical/system issues
65. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
