I am currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Unit Manager to join a well-established care home in Watton, Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong and motivated Nurse Leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care and supporting the development of a high-performing clinical team.
Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of nursing and care delivery for residents.
The Role As Care Home Unit Manager, you will:
Support the Home Manager in the overall clinical and operational management of the home
Develop and implement effective clinical governance policies in line with NICE guidelines, NMC standards, and all regulatory requirements
Lead, mentor and coach nurses and carers to ensure best practice in medication administration, wound care and ongoing resident assessments
Ensure care plans and clinical records are accurate, up to date and fully reflective of residents needs
Monitor and review clinical standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
Act as a visible clinical role model, promoting excellence in person-centred care
Foster a positive, supportive and engaging working environment for all staff
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strong clinical expertise and the ability to inspire and develop others.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
NMC registration with relevant post-registration experience
Proven experience as a Nurse Manager or in a similar clinical leadership role within the care sector
Strong clinical skills with a clear focus on person-centred care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A supportive leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability
The ability to prioritise effectively and perform well under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good IT skills and experience maintaining electronic care records
