Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Colchester

Contract: Full-time / Term-time (flexible depending on candidate)
We are seeking a strong, experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school in Colchester as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies
* Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff
Requirements
* Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a mainstream school setting
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
