Your new role A Financial Controller is being sought to lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s strategic growth. This is a “hands-on” position responsible for day-to-day accounting, monthly and annual reporting, and acting as a business partner to Department Heads and the Board. The role also involves driving improvements in processes, controls, and systems to ensure the finance function is robust and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
2. Oversee sales invoicing (with support from Accounts Assistant)
3. Maintain short-term cash flow forecasts (weekly) and purchase ledger forecasts (monthly)
4. Prepare long-term cash flow projections and annual P&L forecasts
5. Liaise with external accountants for year-end statutory accounts and corporation tax filings
6. Handlepany secretarial duties
7. Supportmercial teams with quotations for new contracts
8. Analyse machine shop timesheets for accurateponent costing
9. Calculate year-end stock provisions
10. Cost products using ERP system and Excel
11. Handle bills of materials
12. Provide data for annual insurance renewals andpleteernment statistical surveys

What you'll need to succeed
19. ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
20. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
21. Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, and variance analysis
22. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
23. Familiarity with costing bills of materials and manufacturing processes
24. A proactive mindset with a keen interest in IT and process improvement
