Job summary
Energy policy touches every aspect of our lives – at home, at work and across society. It underpins economic growth, supports the transition to Net Zero, and ensures consumers are protected. At Ofgem, our policy work plays a central role in shaping a safe, affordable and sustainable energy system for the future.

You will contribute to projects linked to legislative and regulatory change, working with colleagues across Ofgem and externally to ensure effective and evidence-based outcomes. You will work collaboratively across teams, including legal, strategy and communications functions, as well as with government departments, industry and consumer groups. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of priorities, with flexibility to apply your skills across different projects and areas of work over time.
We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple priorities, and are motivated to contribute to policy that delivers real benefits for consumers and communities. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities to develop your experience and contribute to meaningful change across the energy sector.
