The Work
This is proper fibre work in AI and high-performance data centres - clean environments, high standards, no rushed FTTH installs.
Youll be:
* Cutting and cleaving fibres
* Fusion splicing (single fibre & ribbon fibre)
* Carrying out fibre terminations
* Testing with OTDRs and power meters
* Troubleshooting when things don\t look right
Precision matters here.
What you need
* At least 1 year\s experience fibre splicing / splicing
* City & Guilds in Optical Cabling & Splicing
* ETA or BICSI Fibre Optic Technician qualification
* Steady hands, good eyesight, and real attention to detail
You must be confident using
* Precision cleavers
* Fusion splicers
* Fibre microscopes
* OTDRs & power meters
