Grants Delivery Officer (Scottish Forestry)
Job description
Scottish Forestry National Office, Grants Delivery Officer - PB4
Please note this role is Fixed Term for 22 Months and is only open to current Civil Servants.
We’re looking for a person to join our experienced and established Operational Delivery National Office team which works very closely with Operational Delivery’s five Conservancy teams. Operational Delivery is the largest area of Scottish Forestry and is responsible for the delivery of Woodland Creation, and the Regulation of the forestry sector in Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to become one of Scottish Forestry’s National Office Grants Delivery Officers. The role will allow you to provide support, guidance and advice on the management of our suite of forestry grant schemes, and our industry regulations, to all SF staff. You’ll be expected to continually help shape and improve our guidance and processes, and you’ll have an opportunity to feed into how future grant support for forestry is developed.
This opportunity will be for a Fixed Term of 22 months, and will give the successful candidate a chance to undertake this interesting and responsible role in a supportive environment. It is an opportunity for you to explore what grants and regulations based work can offer; working across all Conservancies with a variety of internal and external partners. It is a great way to gain a broad understanding of the forestry sector in Scotland.
This full time role (though applications from people wishing to work alternative flexible working patterns including job shares are very much encouraged) is location neutral, but will require you to regularly visit National Office in Edinburgh, Conservancy offices and forestry project sites throughout Scotland.
If you are interested in this role, please refer to the full details on the job description and success profiles document.
