We are looking for an Operations Manager/Internal Resource Manager to join our team.
You will:
* Manage a team of industrial staff making sure as a team you deliver a great customer service performance whilst meeting and exceeding customer and regulator expectations.
* Make sure all requirements are met such as guaranteed standards, regulatory reporting through the SSEN IT systems, excellent customer service and communication throughout the delivery process.
* Monitor performance of Safety Health and Environment, welfare, compliance, team capabilities and the training portfolio of your team. You'll do this by tracking, monitoring and managing this daily.
* Look to improve productivity whilst still making sure work is completed and recorded to a high standard. You'll also look after team areas such as absence, holidays and capability to ensure enough staff are available to meet the programme of work.
You have:
* Experience of managing a team
* Industry knowledge of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) operates and generates revenue and incentives within the current price control period.
* Technical knowledge of electricity distribution or a similar market sector along with an awareness of the key stakeholders and customers involved in electricity distribution.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills so that you can communicate with people at all levels and make sure work is always progressing.
* Competent in your IT skills so that you're able to review data to assess performance and be able to produce presentations for rolling out vital information to your team.
This role involves travel across various locations to support business needs. To enable you to fulfil these responsibilities, as a role requirement, the company will provide access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
The requirement will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and if the company car policy criteria are met, there will be an opportunity to join the company car scheme. Provision of a company car or cash allowance does not form part of the contractual terms and conditions of employment for this role.
A valid driving licence is essential.
