Job Description
Practice Assistant, Employment (Part-time – Monday and Tuesday) will provide efficient and effective administrative services to fee earners assigned (Partners, Senior Associates, and equivalents) with the Employment and Compensation practice group.
Main responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of tasks assigned (e.g. meetings, events, travel, etc.)
2. Client intake administration (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering (AML), engagement letters)
3. Provide billing support to attorneys
4. Act as a gatekeeper
5. Complex diary management, call handling, and meeting organization for external meetings (utilizes General Admin Services (GAS) for internal meetings
6. Manage the in-box, assist with email filing into iManage, and support with hard copy filing
7. Support client activities by being in direct contact with clients and their assistants
8. Build and coordinate relationships with Service Centers, other BM secretaries, and teams
9. Utilize and review materials from Service Centers to ensure efficiency and accuracy
10. Document production for urgent jobs that are not suitable to be done by Document Services
11. Manage competing deadlines
12. Liaise with courts and ensure accurate development of court documentation/bundles as required
