Thornton Hall Country Park is an award winning leisure attraction which has recently undergone a huge refurbishment, featuring indoor play area, entertainment area, dining location and refurbished outdoor entertainment space, plus a working farm with numerous animals and stock.

We are currently looking for an Farm Manager / Stock Hand to join the Thornton family.
This role will involve:
General animal welfare of stock, including inspections and managing health issues.
Supporting breeding program.
Relocating stock onsite to other areas of the farm.
Preparing stock for auction.
Buying and selling animals.
Maintaining and ensuring medical and movement records are accurate and up to date.
General farm maintenance including walling and fencing.
Preparing the farm park for opening.
To excel in this role we are looking for individuals with the following:
Excellent house keeping is essential.
Ability to adhere to health and safety at all times.
Excellent customer facing skills.
Ability to work a sheep dog.
Ability to operate machinery including tractors and ATV.
Good animal knowledge including, cows, horses, deer, sheep, donkeys, poultry, llamas, rabbits, alpacas, goats, pigs and guinea pigs.
This role involves weekdays and weekends with the benefit of the right person keeping their stock onsite at the farm.
Salary is dependent upon experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
