Are you an experienced mechanical project engineer looking to work on one of the biggest and most complex projects in the UK?

We are looking for an experienced mechanical project engineer to join our team. You'll be working closely with both sub-contractors and consultants to respond to queries, resolve issues, and coordinate both designs and installation. Practical understanding and experience of MEP installation, along with the ability to follow quality processes and undertake quality inspections and reports, is key.

CHt is proud to have been appointed for the M&E fit-out of the Operations Service Centre at Hinkley Point C. The Operations Service Centre will become an impressive nine-storey building housing all the support functions required to operate the power station, such as offices, a medical centre, data centre, warehouse, workshops, labs, its own canteen, and more. The building will also be home to around 350 workers once operational and provide access control to the Nuclear and Conventional Islands.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

* Previous project delivery experience of major projects; ideally nuclear or highly regulated environments (MEP value of £15m – 100m+).
* The ability to select and manage innovative methods, use of materials, and safe systems of work.
* Effective communication with senior management, designers, consultants, clients/architects, and project team on technical matters.
* Practical application of engineering principles and calculations.
* Establish and oversee local implementation of engineering systems, documentation, and controls to comply with H&S legislation and company standards.
* First degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical), other construction or design-related degree, or an industry-recognized technical or engineering qualification (NVQ level 4+).
