Overview
Residential Home Managers of Scotland, this is a high‑level leadership role based in Peterhead. The position offers an opportunity to lead a service that provides compassionate, stable, long‑term residential mental health care for adults with mental health conditions, some of which are severe and enduring.
Responsibilities
* Lead the residential service with a therapeutic approach and ensure daily routines run smoothly.
* Build and sustain deep, positive professional relationships with residents and staff to enable true personalisation of care.
* Oversee compliance with the Care Inspectorate regulations and relevant statutory requirements.
* Support a team that already operates with a high standard of care and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong understanding of mental health conditions commonly seen in residential settings, including dementias (including early onset) and conditions such as Korsakoff’s and schizophrenia.
* Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and regulations.
* Experience in managing a long‑term residential care service and leading teams; ability to work with residents with complex needs.
Salary and Opportunities
Salary is advertised at £45k–£55k depending on experience, with flexibility if a higher salary is necessary to secure the right candidate.
