Ascent Recruitment Ltd is pleased to exclusively support a fantastic business near Salford searching for a hands-on Accounts Payable Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the Accounts Payable team in day-to-day operations.
Ensure all purchase invoices are processed in a timely fashion.
Match supplier invoices to GRNs and process overhead invoices accurately.
Communicate invoice discrepancies and ensure all are resolved promptly.
Reconcile supplier statements by the end of the third week each month and chase missing documents.
Process and code expense and overhead invoices to the correct cost centres and nominals.
Assist with fixed asset invoice processing and maintain the rents and business rates payment schedule.
Cover BACS payment runs and ledger rollovers when required.
Support the Finance Manager and wider finance team with ad hoc tasks.
Skills & Attributes
Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Payable Leadership
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly organised, methodical, and deadline-driven.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to chase information effectively.
Confident with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Management experience
Able to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
