About the Role
You will work closely with pupils who require targeted SEN support—either in-class, through small group intervention, or as part of a dedicated provision. The role will involve tailoring learning to meet individual needs, helping pupils thrive academically and socially within the mainstream setting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality, adapted lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs
* Implementing EHCPs and SEN Support Plans in collaboration with the SENCO and external professionals
* Assessing, tracking, and recording progress against personalised outcomes
* Working closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure consistent and effective support
* Creating a calm, inclusive environment that promotes resilience, independence, and confidence
* Engaging with families and carers to provide guidance, updates, and support
Person Specification
We are looking for a skilled and empatheticteacherwho understands the value of inclusive education and is committed to ensuring every child reaches their potential.
Essential criteria:
* QualifiedTeacherStatus (QTS)
* Experience working with children with SEND in aprimaryschool setting
* Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies
* Confidence in delivering differentiated lessons and using individual support plans
* Effective behaviour management skills rooted in empathy and consistency
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
