Overview
Our Tier 1 Legal 500-ranked Employment team in Norwich are seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to advise leading commercial and public sector clients. The role is based in our Norwich office, working mainly for employers in the commercial sector. We are flexible for the right candidate and open to either an associate or a senior associate.
Responsibilities
* Advise SMEs, mid-market firms, and global organisations
* Support regional education and government clients
* Handle both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
* Get involved in business development for the Norwich practice
The person
* Being a qualified solicitor with up to 3 years PQE (associate) or up to 6 years PQE (senior associate)
* Strong drafting, presentation, and client relationship skills
* Enthusiasm for employment law and team collaboration
* Desirable: experience supporting corporate transactions
You will be self-starting, possessing common sense and initiative, and the ability to work as a team-player on complex matters. You will also have very good time and documentation management skills and keen attention to detail. You will be able to build very good relationships with clients, potential clients and multipliers, and have strong research skills, including using online information sources. Excellent interpersonal and team skills are required, including the ability to work with others and to influence and persuade.
Desirable Skills
Some previous experience of providing employment law support to corporate transactions, including drafting contracts, settlement agreements and undertaking due diligence is desirable.
