Based in Glasgow, this role sits within a collaborative finance operations team and supports the delivery of accurate and timely financial and management reporting. The Opportunity This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and financial analysis. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, contributing to reporting, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post monthly journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments, and cost adjustments Produce payroll reconciliations and support invoice coding and posting reviews Perform trend analysis against plan and prior year to support month-end close Assist in monthly variance analysis and provide clear, concise commentary Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding items Collaborate with stakeholders to track and resolve financial queries Support the production of risks and opportunities reporting Maintain strong audit trails and adhere to internal controls Assist with audit deliverables, including reconciliations and supporting documentation Candidate Profile Experience or understanding of financial and management reporting Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly Analytical mindset with experience producing commentary or insights Intermediate Excel skills (advanced desirable) Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Dynamics 365 is advantageous High attention to detail with strong organisational skills Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience desirable Package Benefits Competitive salary package Opportunity to develop within a global finance function Exposure to senior stakeholders and business operations Supportive and collaborative team environment Why This Role?
