Role
What the Role Looks LikeThe Assistant Manager will be a key player in the firm’s corporate tax offering across the central belt, supporting a varied client base that includes owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies, and large corporate groups.Day to day, they’ll:
* Take ownership of a client portfolio, becoming the go-to contact for corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
* Get involved in a range of interesting projects, from tax structuring and transactions to audit of tax and group reporting.
* Work closely with partners, directors, and other service lines to deliver a seamless client experience.
* Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, helping them grow and succeed.
* Contribute to business development and help strengthen the firm’s presence in the local market.
What They’re Looking ForThis role would suit someone who is:
* Professionally qualified (CA, ATT, CTA or equivalent) with experience in corporate tax.
* Comfortable managing their own client workload and reviewing work prepared by others.
* Curious, collaborative, and confident working directly with clients and internal teams.
* Up to date with UK corporate tax rules and aware of international tax concepts.
* Eager to grow — whether that’s developing new skills, mentoring others, or helping to shape the future of the team.
