Overview
As a Transport Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring vehicle routes are planned to allow for on time deliveries. This is a full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, flexible day time hours.
Responsibilities
* Planning vehicle routes using a transport planning software
* Monitor and manage information from the vehicle telematics system
* Provide daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports to the Transport Manager and Depot Manager
* Monitor staff absence including sickness and holidays
* Respond promptly to route feedback and ensure improvement opportunities are acted upon
* People Management
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in working within a transport planning department is essential
* Knowledge of a Transport Planning Software is desirable, however training will be provided
* Excellent communication skills
* Good organisation skills with the proven ability to prioritise workload methodically
* Understanding of Microsoft Office packages
