The primary role of a deputy manager at Littleinch Limited is to lead and manage the care team, helping them to deliver high standards. The deputy manager will also provide support to the home manager and take his/ her place when absent. Caring for residents at Littleinch Limited means playing an active role in their lives and therefore all staff are expected to assist residents to participate in meaningful activities.
As deputy manager, you will be expected to actively participate in care and will have rostered shifts. As a nurse, you will be responsible for developing resident's support plans and evaluating the care resident's receive. You will act a first point of contact for resident's and their relatives in ensuring wellbeing. You will undertake clinical duties such as administering medications, administering vaccinations, managing enteral feeding regimes and wound care. You will escalate residents care to the GP or refer on to allied health professionals where required.

You will also support the home manager to run the home by ensuring safe staffing levels, undertaking pre-admission assessments, ensuring compliance with guidance and legislation, recruiting staff and arranging staff training and development. You will be the clinical lead in the home.
