As an Electronic Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and overhauling aircraft communication and navigation systems, including radar and radio audio units. You’ll carry out precise mechanical and electronic repairs, using specialised test equipment for fault finding and testing. All work will be performed in line with regulatory approvals and the company’s quality system, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and safety.
This role involves working across a wide range of technologies, from analogue electronics to complex microprocessor systems and RF circuits.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical and electronic repairs, including through-hole and surface-mounted components
* Conduct fault finding, repair, and testing using specialised and general-purpose test equipment
* Work in accordance with manufacturer component maintenance manuals, regulatory approvals, and company quality systems
* Maintain accurate and legible repair records
* Ensure quality and cost-effectiveness while meeting safety standards
* Stay up to date with company working practices and procedures
* Undertake cross-training in other technical areas as required by the business
Qualifications
* Relevant technical qualifications at or above NVQ Level 3, HNC, or recognised trade qualification
* Alternatively, relevant military education or equivalent experience
