Our client, a respected organisation in the public sector, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the organisation by ensuring adherence to internal procedures and external regulations. You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working in a hybrid environment with 2–3 days based in their Barrhead office.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a range of risk and compliance monitoring activities in line with the compliance planner
Maintain and manage regular compliance reporting
Identify, investigate, and escalate potential fraud and error risks
Perform analytical reviews across business activities and deliver accurate, timely reports
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and organisational policies
Maintain compliance with mandatory training requirements
Uphold data protection, information security, and health & safety standards
Complete audit actions within required timelines
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a risk, audit, or compliance-related role
A strong understanding of data protection laws, information security, and corporate governance
Ability to analyse data and produce detailed reports
Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with good communication skills
