We are supporting a leading renewable energy organisation in the search for a Senior HSE Advisor to join a major offshore wind project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental excellence on a high profile project within the UK.
The Role
As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will provide expert guidance across both onshore and offshore operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards while driving a proactive HSE culture.
You will also support and guide a team of HSE Advisors, working closely with project leadership to ensure best practice is embedded across all activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and lead a proactive HSE culture across project teams
* Provide expert advice on HSE legislation, standards, and best practice
* Review and approve Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
* Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, audits, and inspections
* Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis
* Monitor HSE performance and identify trends using reporting systems
* Engage with contractors and stakeholders to improve safety performance
* Support compliance with ISO standards and internal management systems
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE, ideally within offshore wind or renewables construction
* Proven experience operating at Senior HSE Advisor level
* NEBOSH Level 3 (or equivalent) is essential
* Strong knowledge of incident investigation and risk management
* Experience working closely with contractors and site teams
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Degree or diploma (Level 6) in HSE or related discipline
* Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards
* Auditor certification
* Offshore certifications (GWO, HUET, offshore medical)
* Experience within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
Working Environment
* Primarily based on site in Humberside, with regular offshore visits
* Occasional travel for meetings, including potential international travel
* Collaborative, fast-paced project environment
