If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of others we are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves working with people to join our friendly and supportive justice teams as a support assistant in the Kilmarnock office. This person will be part of a team who strive to deliver a person centred, high quality justice service. You will be involved in working alongside them in a pro-social and trauma-informed manner using your initiative to provide support and encouragement through undertaking direct work to assist them in meeting the expectations of the court and improving their circumstances. We are looking for two Support Assistant's who can work both independently and effectively as part of a team, demonstrating a positive outlook and understanding of the social circumstances of others. You will be required to work directly with individuals supporting them to address the factors in their lives that have contributed to their involvement in offending. Within this role you will be offered opportunities to build on your knowledge and skills through training and development in respect of how best to support those we work with. Justice Services in East Ayrshire believe in providing opportunities for people to improve their lives by both supporting them to pay back to society but also in developing valuable knowledge and skills that could support them to avoid offending in the future. The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. There are 2 x full time permanent posts based within Justice Services. Hours of work - 1x Sunday to Thursday (9-5 sun to wed, 9-4 thurs) 1x Tuesday to Saturday ( 9-5 Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat & 9-4 Fri) The workstyle for this post is Flexible - 50% -79% of your time in an office location/ multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
