Outpost24 is hiring a Cyber Security Consultant to join our growing Managed Security Services team in Leuven, Amsterdam, London, or Plymouth!
In this customer-facing role, you’ll work hands-on with clients to reduce their cyber exposure and strengthen their security posture. You’ll deliver and advise on services such as vulnerability management, application security, external attack surface monitoring, and digital risk protection, translating complex security challenges into practical, actionable outcomes.
This is a service-delivery role, not an internal security position. You won’t be focused on corporate policies, audits, or compliance programmes. Instead, you’ll be on the front line with our customers—helping them identify risk, remediate vulnerabilities, and make informed security decisions in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
As a Cyber Security Consultant your key responsibilities will include:
* Owing customer security services
o Deliver vulnerability management, AppSec, EASM and DRP services
o Act as the named consultant for assigned customer accounts
o Own customer outcomes, not just reporting
o Participate in customer service reviews and advisory calls
* Providing technical advisory across exposure and digital risk
o Analyse vulnerabilities, external exposure, application risk, cloud attack surface, brand and data exposure
o Advise customers on risk- based remediation strategies, attack surface reduction, secure development practices and digital risk posture improvement
* Leading Digital Risk Protection advisory
o Track and advise on data leakage, brand impersonation, phishing exposure, malicious domains and threat actor activity
o Recommend actions for credential exposure, online fraud risk and infrastructure abuse
* Translating security findings into action
o Build remediation roadmaps
o Prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk
o Translate technical issues into business impact
o Deliver technical and executive-level reports
* Collaboration internally
o Work with engineering teams, account managers and product specialists
o Provide customer feedback to influence product development
o Support service improvement initiatives
What makes you our ideal candidate?
* You have experience in:
o Vulnerability management
o Application security or penetration testing
o Exposure management / EASM
o Digital Risk Protection or threat intelligence
o Consulting or Managed Security Services
* You understand:
o How vulnerabilities lead to breaches
o Risk-based prioritisation
o Real attacker behaviour
o Exposure across applications, cloud and external asset
* You are comfortable:
o Advising customers
o Owning security outcomes
o Making risk-based decisions
o Working independently across multiple accounts
This role may not be the right fit if you are primarily looking for positions such as: SOC Analyst or other monitoring-focused roles, GRC or compliance-focused positions, Internal / corporate security roles
