What You’ll Be Doing
* Act as the lead solution architect on major bids, taking ownership of end‑to‑end technical design to meet customer outcomes.
* Apply deep specialist expertise to advise on a range of complex, high‑impact solutions across 5G, IoT, Edge, AI and XR technologies.
* Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for both internal teams and customer stakeholders.
* Provide thought leadership and sign off medium‑scale, high‑profile technical changes across BT’s portfolio.
* Drive sales pipeline with solution sales specialists—using your technology insight to close opportunities and deliver on BT’s commitments.
* Develop, deliver and evolve innovative solutions that integrate 5G private networks with AI, IoT and immersive (XR) technologies.
* Work in challenging technical environments with new or non‑standard components, ensuring alignment with BT strategy and customer objectives.
* Collaborate across BT’s business units and with external suppliers/partners to shape best‑in‑class solutions.
* Manage reporting on risk, solution design and bid status using BT tools.
* Deliver complex, high‑value work that pushes boundaries and delivers measurable customer impact.
What Experience You'll Need
* Background in technical, network or IT service environments—ideally spanning multiple domains.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse internal and external audiences.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Proven ability to stay ahead of emerging technology trends and translate them into meaningful business solutions.
* Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and negotiation capabilities.
* Commercial awareness related to sales cycles, pipeline development and value creation.
* A solution‑focused mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in high‑risk, high‑impact environments.

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
