Interim HR Advisor Rate: £200 per day Contract: Temporary / Interim Start Date: ASAP Location: Surrey (hybrid working available) A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team on an interim basis. This role will focus primarily on employee relations casework, supporting managers across the organisation while ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident managing ER cases independently and partnering with managers to provide pragmatic HR advice. Key Responsibilities • Provide HR and employee relations advice to managers and employees, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. • Manage a range of employee relations cases including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeals. • Prepare and coordinate ER documentation such as meeting invitations, hearing packs and outcome letters, and take notes during formal meetings where required. • Maintain accurate records within the HR case management system and support reporting on HR case activity. • Ensure advice and practices remain compliant with current UK employment law and HR best practice. • Support HR projects including restructures, redundancies, acquisitions and TUPE transfers where required. • Assist with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including collating and redacting documentation and liaising with legal advisors where necessary. • Identify potential HR risks and provide guidance and coaching to line managers on people management issues. • Support wider HR initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, salary review processes and policy updates. Skills & Experience • Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or ER-focused HR role • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR policies • Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently • Experience supporting organisational change, TUPE or redundancy processes • Strong written communication skills, particularly for formal HR documentation • Excellent organisational and case management skills • Confident influencing and advising managers at all levels
