Smoke Free Advisor – Specialist Smoking Cessation Project
Location: Peterborough
Hours: 0.8FTE (30 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking a Smoke Free Advisor to deliver a high-quality stop-smoking service, empowering individuals to take meaningful steps toward healthier lives. The role focuses on supporting those engaged with CGL’s substance misuse service to access appropriate smoking cessation provision, through harm reduction, behaviour change and tobacco treatment.
Responsibilities
* Promote the benefits of a smoke-free life and raise awareness of stop-smoking services through community engagement and events.
* Deliver high-quality harm reduction, behaviour change and treatment interventions.
* Follow NRT and e-cigarette protocols.
* Engage with the community to raise awareness of smoking impacts and encourage referrals.
Qualifications
* Experience working in health and/or social care settings.
* Ability to complete assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs.
* Knowledge of the harmful effects of smoking and understanding of smoking cessation policies and treatments.
* Skill in providing behavioural support using motivational interviewing techniques and dispensing nicotine replacement products.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award.
CGL points 20 to 21 (£26,091.00 - £26,502.53).
