Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on an opportunity to recruit an experienced Estates and Asset Management professional to join a public‑sector organisation in a senior leadership role.

A fantastic opportunity to take on a senior estates and asset management position, supporting the head of service and playing a key role in the management of a diverse non‑housing property portfolio. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on estate management and offers significant autonomy and influence.

What You'll Be Doing
7. Leading the estates management function
8. Managing lease events, property transactions and commercial estate matters
9. Ensuring statutory compliance across council‑owned assets
10. Managing and overseeing external contractors and consultants
11. Maintaining and developing the property asset management database
12. Preparing reports and business cases for senior management and committees
13. Providing property advice to senior stakeholders
14. Line managing and developing the estates and asset management team
15. Deputising for the head of service when required
16. Undertaking property inspections and surveys as necessary
What They're Looking For
17. MRICS (or equivalent professional qualification)
18. Strong background in Estates / Asset Management
19. Experience managing teams and external consultants
20. Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
21. Commercially minded, organised and proactive
22. Full UK driving licence
Package & Details
23. Salary: £55,000
24. Full‑time role (37 hours per week)
25. Office‑based with some flexibility
