Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our small, close-knit finance team. This role sits at the heart of our day-to-day finance operations, with a focus across sales ledger across purchase ledger, supporting on month-end accounting and reporting.
If you’re someone who takes pride in accuracy, likes to stay on top of things, and enjoys being a reliable presence in a busy team, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Raising sales invoices and reconciling month-end documentation
* Supporting credit control and keeping debtor records up to date
* Purchase ledger — posting invoices, reconciling statements, processing expenses
* Completing accruals, prepayments and contributing to monthly profitability reports
* Banking reconciliations, inbox management and general finance administration
* Supporting our finance team leader with a variety of finance tasks
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced in a finance or accounts role — sales ledger and journals essential
* Confident Sage user
* Comfortable with month-end tasks including accruals and prepayments
* Accurate, organised and able to juggle competing deadlines
* A team player who takes ownership and communicates proactively
* AAT qualified or working towards it — helpful but not essential
Who You Are
* Reliable, accurate, and someone who follows things through
* Calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
* A team player who communicates proactively and supports those around you
* Someone who cares about doing things well — not just getting them done
