Development Manager Social & Affordable Housing Location: Northwest England s Salary: Min £60k - £75k Benefit package Full-Time | Permanent Are you an experienced Development professional with a passion for building quality homes and communities? Do you thrive on partnership working and have strong existing relationships with Registered Providers (RPs), local authorities, and development partners? We are looking for a Development Manager to lead on the delivery of new build housing schemes across the Northwest with a strong emphasis on collaboration and relationship management. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in residential construction and social housing development. Key Responsibilities Lead the full project lifecycle for new affordable housing developments from feasibility and land acquisition through to handover Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Registered Providers, Homes England, contractors, and local authorities Negotiate and secure development opportunities that align with organisational growth and community need Manage budgets, programmes, risks, and governance reporting throughout each scheme Ensure compliance with planning, legal, and funding requirements, including sustainability and design standards Champion collaborative working across internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders About You Demonstrable experience in housing development, particularly in social or affordable housing Strong understanding of residential construction, planning, funding, and policy frameworks Proven ability to work in partnership with Registered Providers and other key stakeholders Commercially aware, with excellent negotiation, project management, and organisational skills A relevant qualification in housing, development, construction, or project management is preferred Why Join Us?
