SoftwareEngineer (SLAM)
As a SoftwareEngineer at Vaarstyou will developinnovative capabilities forourSubSLAMX2 Camera system. Primarily using C and Pythonprogramming languages employing high quality software engineeringprinciples and practices and exploiting computer vision techniquessuch as SLAM. You will also collaborate with the R&D teamto matureactive research into carefully tested production readycode.
Within your team you will design developand implement products. You will actively participate in qualityassurancethrough peer reviews continuous improvement and utilisingcontinuous integration pipelines.You will alsohave the opportunitytoparticipate infieldtrials to test and evaluate new functionalityandsupport the deployment of software updatestocustomers.
Your experience in C and Python alongwith your familiarity with computer vision techniques such as SLAMVisual Odometry Structure from Motion and Claibration willhelpshapethe technology and processes we use to developSubSLAMX2sembedded software in addition to how it interacts with othercomponents as part of an offshore surveying solution.
