Drama Teacher Location: Handsworth Start Date: September 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) About the role: We are looking for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Handsworth. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through performance, creativity and self-expression while delivering high-quality drama lessons that develop confidence, teamwork and communication skills. Role Responsibilites: Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable). Prepare students for practical and written assessments including GCSE or equivalent exams. Encourage creativity and collaboration through performance work, improvisation and script development. Foster a positive inclusive classroom environment where every student feels confident to participate. Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts department and wider school team. Role Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. A degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. DBS on the update servicer or willingness to obtian one. A passion for performance and helping students express their creativity.
