The post holder is responsible, through the Director of Children's Services, the Executive Manager Education and Learning, and the Project Board, for undertaking a range of activities to contribute to the successful completion of the project. The post holder will lead and develop the aims and objectives of the proposed project and undertake research and analysis activities to support overall project management, including service development and improvements.
The post holder will collaborate with colleagues across the Council, the Health Board, and other partner agencies and stakeholders locally and nationally as required to achieve the project objectives.

* The grade of this post is J.
* The salary shown in the advert includes Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum.
* This is a temporary, full-time position for 37 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year.
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update before a formal offer of employment.
* No relocation package is available for this post.
* Interview expenses will be paid from within Shetland.
* You must have the ability to travel throughout Shetland at short notice, especially where public transport is limited.
* We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
