Business Management within Adult Services are seeking to recruit a passionate, friendly, hard-working and flexible individual to join our busy management team. The administrative teams provide support to our front-line workers within our various Community Adult Teams.
As a Business Support Technician, you will have supervisory responsibility for the administrative team/s and develop a strong working relationship with all levels of senior management within the Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for $ú Providing a flexible, high quality and efficient administrative business support. Assisting with the planning and development of support services. Supervision of administrative staff.
Main Duties of the Post:
1. Team Management & Supervision:
Leading and managing teams of administrative and support staff, including task allocation, performance management, and professional development.
Supervision, mentoring and coaching of team members.
Provide advice and guidance to staff and others on complex issues.
2. Operational Support:
Overseeing day-to-day operations, procurement of goods and services.
3. Communication and Relationship Management:
Maintaining strong communication channels with internal teams and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.
4. Process Improvement:
Identifying areas for improvement in business processes, implementing changes, and monitoring their effectiveness.
5. Business Planning & Development of IT Systems
Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems/procedures/policies.
To research, analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.
Ideally you will have experience of the below, although this is not essential as full training will be provided:
6. Team Leadership:
Proven experience leading and managing teams, including mentoring and developing staff.
7. Operational Management:
Understanding of operational business processes and the ability to improve efficiency. Planning, scheduling and organising activities to achieve objectives.
8. Stakeholder Management:
Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and communicating effectively with various stakeholders. Be able to establish good working relationships in and outside your immediate team.
9. Financial Management:
Experience in corporate credit card business processes.
10. Administrative IT Systems
Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in software like Microsoft Office Suite. Promote computer technology to modernise and improve administrative practice.
11. Problem-Solving:
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
12. Change Management:
Experience in supporting and implementing organizational change initiatives.
Ideally applicants will possess:
4 GCSE&s at grade C or above, 2 of which must be English Language, Maths or Welsh.
NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or have equivalent experience.
Supervisory experience, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.
