Macildowie Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics Buyer
Salary: Up to GBP40,000 per annum.
Location: Kirkby in Ashfield
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
Macildowie Procurement has partnered with a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Kirkby in Ashfield to recruit a Buyer.
The key objective is to work closely with the wider procurement function, operating in a transactional and reactive environment, carrying out duties such as raising purchase orders, onboarding new suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are compliant.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure stock availability aligns with the production schedule.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Assist in future demand planning based on seasonal activities.
* Provide input on projected inventory and availability levels, raising alerts for potential issues.
* Ensure accurate visibility on planned product arrivals for assigned SKUs.
* Manage and conduct tendering processes.
* Prepare and maintain stock reports.
* Raise routine purchase orders for production stock and ad hoc requirements, focusing on best quality, price, and delivery.
* Administer inbound deliveries and organise inbound transport as needed.
* Monitor and expedite order deliveries, reporting any supplier delivery issues.
* Maintain and optimise the purchasing relationship with suppliers, ensuring materials meet specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Candidate
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a material planning or procurement focused position.
* Able to travel to Kirkby in Ashfield.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient Microsoft Office user including Excel.
