Join our dynamic team at the University Information Services, contributing to the support of the University's Timetabling and Room Booking systems. From initial system implementation to ongoing support, you''ll acquire extensive experience in new enterprise technologies. Gain subject matter expertise in our timetabling systems, actively participating in large project implementations and providing continuous systems support.
Responsibilities
* Provide user support for timetabling and booking systems.
* Perform annual system maintenance & configuration activities.
* Ensure that systems and procedural documentation is maintained and accurate.
* Triage helpdesk tickets for timetabling and booking systems.
* Perform business analysis and requirements gathering for changes and projects.
* Scope projects and engage in the project planning.
* Research options and propose solutions for projects.
* Support project implementation and user training, including in-person and onboarding activities.
* Configure and undertake quality assurance testing for new releases.
Qualifications & Essential And Desirable Skills
* Degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent work experience.
* Hands-on experience in lecture timetable creation and maintenance.
* Comfortable with the analysis of large data sets and reporting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Confluence and Jira) are desirable.
* Experience with API coding and development is desirable, particularly in supporting system integration or data exchange between services.
* Business analysis, requirements gathering, or change management experience (desirable but not essential).
* Administrative background with general knowledge of IT systems (desirable but not essential).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable navigating and finding solutions.
* Enthusiastic self-starter with a keen interest in learning new technologies.
* Positive, customer-focused attitude.
