Job overview
The post holder will support the delivery of care through New Models of Care, enabling the service to meet London Wide service standards for Prison Healthcare.
They will support the therapies team to work according to operational policies, offering triage, assessment, and intervention within prison settings for mental health issues, aligned with the New Models of Care.
The role includes providing specialist psychological assessments and therapies, advising colleagues on psychological care, supervising unqualified staff, and contributing to research and service development within the team.

Qualifications and Experience
* Doctoral level training in clinical, counselling, forensic psychology, or UKCP accredited psychotherapist
* Experience in a forensic setting, preferably in a prison environment
* Experience in psychological assessment and treatment across various settings
* Experience with diverse client groups and presenting problems
* Experience in teaching, training, and supervision
* Effective communication skills for complex information sharing
* Consultation skills for professional and non-professional groups
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
* Creative and reflective practice approach
* Skills in managing high distress levels in patients and staff
