We re hiring for a temporary Accounts Assistant to join a thriving business in Glossop, supporting the Financial Controller with a wide range of administrative and finance-related tasks.
In this hands-on and varied role, you ll play a key part in keeping internal processes running smoothly from managing supplier records and raising purchase orders, to keeping staff records and vehicle documentation up to date.

* GBP14.00 per hour
* 4-day working week (Monday & Friday essential)

What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?
* Assisting the Financial Controller with daily tasks
* Liaising with staff and line managers to gather paperwork and timesheets
* Raising purchase orders and matching delivery notes against invoices
* Handling supplier queries and setting up new supplier/subcontractor records
* Processing staff expenses, credit card transactions, and fuel cards
* Ensuring vehicle documentation (MOT, tax, insurance, servicing) is current
* Monitoring and booking staff training to ensure compliance
* Setting up site files for new jobs
* Carrying out ad-hoc office administration duties as required
What do you need?
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes, especially Excel and Word
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Previous office or accounts/purchase ledger experience (desirable)
* Familiarity with Sage accounting software (desirable)
