Overview
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to join our Information Technology Directorate. Our mission is to keep people safe on the coast and at sea, and technology plays a vital role in achieving this. The IT Directorate delivers innovative digital, data, and technology solutions that support lifesaving operations and critical services across the UK. You'll be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking team that manages complex projects and drives transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help ensure our systems and services are robust, efficient, and future‑ready. Responsibilities
* Deliver MCA's digital, data, and technology projects, focusing on medium and large‑scale initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
* Ensure projects meet agreed objectives within time, cost, and quality constraints.
* Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies within project tolerances.
* Apply best‑practice project management methods and maintain accurate project plans.
* Manage scope control and change processes effectively.
* Coordinate dependencies across multiple projects and initiatives within MCA.
* Handle escalations promptly, resolving issues or escalating beyond tolerances when necessary.
