MMP Consultancy are currently recruting for the below multi trade operative role based working around Reading.
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Rate: £21.40 per hour
Engagement: CIS
Type: Ongoing / Long-term Contract
Responsibilities
* Undertake a wide range of reactive maintenance repairs, responding promptly and efficiently to reported issues
* Carry out planned maintenance works in line with work schedules and specifications
* Perform multi-trade tasks including, but not limited to:
o Carpentry (repairs, doors, locks, kitchens)
o Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, sinks, WC repairs)
o Plaster patching and making good
o Tiling repairs
o Painting and decorating (minor works)
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety regulations
* Maintain accurate records of works completed using job sheets or handheld devices
* Provide an excellent level of customer service when working in tenants' homes
* Work independently and manage workload effectively
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing or domestic maintenance
* Strong all-round trade skills with at least one core trade background
* Experience working on reactive repairs and planned maintenance
* Good understanding of health & safety requirements
* Ability to communicate professionally with tenants, supervisors, and housing officers
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant trade qualifications e.g NVQ or City & Guilds
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* Basic DBS check will be required if successful
