Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you ready to spark creativity and innovation in the next generation of designers and engineers?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming school in Dinnington from September 2025. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across the DT curriculum, including product design, resistant materials, or engineering.

Role Overview:

As a DT Teacher, you will deliver practical, hands-on lessons that promote problem-solving, creativity, and design thinking in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:

* Teach Design and Technology across Key Stages.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons with clear learning objectives.
* Promote safe and effective use of tools, machinery, and materials.
* Encourage innovation and practical skills through design projects.
* Track student progress and prepare them for assessments and qualifications.

Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:

* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Specialism in a DT subject (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, etc.).
* Prior experience teaching DT in a UK school is desirable.
* Strong subject knowledge and workshop safety awareness.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
