Senior / Principal Planning Policy Officer £45–£55 per hour (Inside IR35) Initial 6-Month Contract (Rolling) Flexible Working – Office Attendance Once per Month I’m currently working with a local authority in the South who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior / Principal Planning Policy Officer to support their planning policy function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded team and contribute to the development of key local plan workstreams in a flexible, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the preparation and development of Local Plans Undertaking site assessments as part of Land Availability Assessments (LAA) Contributing to evidence base and baseline work Working with and interpreting the emerging plan-making system and draft NPPF Preparing briefs and supporting procurement processes Supporting Sustainability Appraisal / Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA) where applicable About You: Strong experience in planning policy within a local authority setting Proven experience with Local Plan preparation and evidence work Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Good working knowledge of GIS and strong IT skills Excellent attention to detail and time management What’s on Offer: £45–£55 per hour Flexible working arrangement – just one office visit per month Initial 6-month contract with likelihood of extension Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a forward-thinking planning team If you are interested please call me on 0161 470 5506 or email archie.brindle@vividresourcing.com
