We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in our food preparation process. If you have a passion for fresh ingredients, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you'll work closely with our chefs, assisting with a wide range of tasks to ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a professional culinary setting.
What will I be doing?
Producing perfectly cooked meals to our specifications, keeping your work area clean and tidy and maintaining strict allergen controls. You will also:
* Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing a variety of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
* Portioning and measuring ingredients accurately.
* Assisting with basic cooking tasks such as mixing, stirring, and assembling dishes under supervision.
* Maintaining a clean and organised work station throughout the shift, including regular cleaning of equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
* Washing dishes and ensuring all kitchen tools are clean and ready for use.
* Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not essential – we're happy to train the right candidate.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
