You will develop and deliver innovative fundraising ideas, build strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, schools, community groups, and Trust staff, and champion the Charity at events and public engagements. A key part of the role is engaging NHS staff, embedding fundraising across the Trust through initiatives such as staff-led campaigns, and ambassador programmes.
You will also have a passion for supporter care, volunteer engagement, and high-profile events, ensuring every interaction inspires and maximises impact. This is a visible, influential role requiring creativity, innovative thinking, and a passion for making a difference to patients, staff, and the wider Rotherham community.
Main duties of the job
As Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in the growth of income and engagement for the Charity, making a tangible difference to patients, staff, and the wider community. You will develop and deliver innovative fundraising initiatives, high-impact events, and innovative campaigns that inspire donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and local groups to support the Charity.
A key part of the role is building strong internal relationships, engaging NHS staff in fundraising activity and ambassador programmes, embedding the Charity at the heart of the Trust. You will also have a high level of supporter care, ensuring every interaction is professional, inspiring, and impactful.

Job responsibilities

* Provide high-level supporter care and ensure every interaction is professional, inspiring, and impactful
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of building and maintaining long-term relationships with supporters, volunteers, and community partners
* Experience of working in a sales environment with excellent sales skills
* Experience of working in an NHS or health-related field
* Experience of working within budgets and financial/non-financial KPIs
* Experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating fundraising campaigns and events
Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs including maths and English Grade C/4 or Equivalent
* Degree or equivalent practical experience in a comparable role
* Ability to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area
Knowledge
* Understanding of Fundraising Codes of Practice and sector legalities including GDPR
* Broad knowledge and experience of all areas of fundraising including campaign and event management
* Awareness of current fundraising trends and developments
* Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems for supporter management
* Proven success in achieving fundraising targets and managing diverse fundraising campaigns
Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 a year, pro rata
