Join Our Team as a Recovery Worker!

This is your chance to be part of something truly special! At Hunger Hill, a new supported living service in Nottingham City, we’re looking for passionate individuals to help shape a service that supports men with complex mental health needs, including dual diagnoses and histories of substance use. If you’re enthusiastic about empowering others, this role offers you the opportunity to help individuals gain the skills they need to live independently. You’ll manage a small caseload and play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the service. At Turning Point, we’re dedicated to supporting people across the UK with mental health challenges. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll make a real difference in their lives, helping them achieve their potential while being part of a supportive management team with growth opportunities.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Recovery Worker, you’ll be at the forefront of providing person-centered care. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering recovery-focused support through key working sessions and group activities. Empowering individuals to develop new skills and strategies for long-term recovery. Creating tailored support and risk management plans for each individual. Ensuring effective discharge planning and encouraging positive change. This role requires flexibility, as you’ll work on a 24-hour rolling rota, including day, evening, and waking night shifts, with alternate weekends.

We’re looking for someone who: Has experience in the mental health sector and a solid understanding of the recovery model. Possesses a solution-focused attitude and a person-centered approach. Is comfortable working independently and as part of a dynamic team. Thrives in fast-paced environments and can adapt to challenges with ease. Is genuinely interested in helping others and demonstrates empathy, understanding, and patience.
