Job Description:
MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrates its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2025. We are a dynamic racing team with headquarters in Kannapolis, US; Banbury, UK; and Maranello, Italy. We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Maranello, Italy, responsible for designing F1 chassis components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments.
* Design of F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies using solid and surface modeling, and 2D drafting.
* Design includes suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, cooling systems, and equipment for car homologation and on-track management.
* Manage the design mock-up activities in the design office.
* Follow all safety regulations at all venues.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader.
Education and Work Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 3 in professional motorsports or F1 companies.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong communication skills, fluent in English.
* Technical expertise in racing car design.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Analytical problem-solving skills.
* Team player with a positive attitude.
* Proficiency in CATIA and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
* Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of composites.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Must work effectively in a high-pressure environment, with occasional travel. Role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and working around machinery, race cars, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
